This review covers the “Street Art” eye shadow palette from MAC’s Art of Powder collection.
- Street Art: Graffiti design with light brown, white, light cool blue, warm orange, pastel pink, and pastel blue
This palette comes in the same packaging as MAC’s eye shadow quads. They have flip-up lids that close magnetically.
Although this palette has a very interesting design, the quality of the shadows is mediocre.
All of the colors are sparkly and have dull pigmentation.
The surface design wears off almost immediately–after the first 1-2 swipes of the brush.
Ease of Use: 6.5/10
It’s very difficult to pick up individual colors. You have to use quite a small brush, and even then, you have to swipe carefully and slowly to not get surrounding colors mixed onto the brush. This makes application cumbersome and impractical.
The palette costs $38.00 and contains 9 grams of shadow. Given the number of colors you get, this could be a good deal. But the quality and difficult of effectively using all the colors lowers the score this palette gets for price.
