This shampoo and conditioner both have a light, sweet scent. Personally, I’m sensitive to scents and many artificial ones (especially food smells and sweet scents) bother me. But the scent in this set is subtle and won’t likely bother even those with sensitive noses. The scent will linger ever-so-slightly on your hair after rinsing.
The shampoo formulation cleans like any other shampoo would, but is unique in two ways. First, it is thin and lightweight in consistency. Second, it does not lather the way normal shampoos do. This may bother you if you’re used to conventional shampoos, but does not mean the shampoo is any less effective.
The conditioner is also lightweight—not thick like many other conditioners. Again, this may bother you if you’re used to more conventional conditioners, but the key to this formulation is that it does not weigh down the hair. It does a good job of conditioning, but also preserves your hair’s volume. This is great for those with thin hair.
Use is like with any other shampoo and conditioner. If you’re used to more conventional hair products, you’ll feel like you need to use more product at first, since the shampoo doesn’t lather as much and the conditioner is not as thick. After you get used to the consistency, you won’t use as much.
The shampoo and conditioner are 8 oz each (despite what Coy’s website says) and cost $19.00 and $20.00, respectively. This is slightly less than other high-end hair brands like Bumble & Bumble or Living Proof.
Hmmm…despite your good review of these, I think I’ll be sticking with my trusty scent-free Paula’s Choice Shampoo and Conditioner. The price is just too much for me…I have medium-coarse hair, and I don’t worry about volume often. :-p
Actually, I just never think about volume. :-p
The lathering comment you make worries me a little bit but I will check it out because it looks good and I like how said the scent is subtle!
The bottles are cute. I need fuller hair. I have supper flat and straight hair, which I do not like
I’s also sensitive to scents. Some make me sick. So I’ll definitely try this shampoo. Thanks for the review
i want to try this so bad
Never heard of this brand before. I wonder how it would work on my crazy-flat hair.
