Company’s Description
Exceptional in every way. A creamy, long-wearing lipstick with staying power and shine. One coat is just enough.
Elizabeth Arden’s Exceptional Lipsticks come in 13 shades. This review is for the color Red Diamond 57.
Packaging: 9.75/10
This lipstick comes in a black, rectangular tube with gold trimming in the middle.
Quality: 9.75/10
Red Diamond is a stunning, orange-based red with golden shimmers.
Of the 3 lipsticks in the Cult Favorites box, this one is the least creamy. The color still is extremely vibrant and opaque, but the formula doesn’t give your lips the moisture that the other 2 lipsticks do.
That said, the drier formula makes the lipstick last longer–about 4 hours if you aren’t eating or drinking.
This is a beautiful red color with a unique finish, perfect for the holidays.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
This lipstick is drier than the other Elizabeth Arden lipsticks, and so doesn’t glide on quite as effortlessly. But compared to lipsticks in general, application is easy due to the opaque color.
Price: 9.25/10
For $19.50, you get 4 grams of lipstick. MAC’s lipsticks cost $14.50 and contain 3 grams. This puts Elizabeth Arden’s lipstick at almost the exact same price-point.
What a gorgeous color, might pick this one up
The shimmer is beautiful but still I will go for Rouge.
I think these look wonderful, unfortunately not avalable near me =(
I am going to look into these my next trip abroad, thanks for the review…
I like how honest and thorough they are =)
I’ve been afraid of reds….but, I’m going to buy this one! Time try something new!
The swatches don’t look this way, but the picture of the lipstick itself, with the shimmers, make it look like it might be gritty, but it shows up as pretty shimmer on the lips–it looks sort of pink/rose on your lips, instead of red (the arm swatch looks more red), though not as much as the other two. I think this is my favorite out of the three.
No grittiness.
