Review & Swatches: essence Multi Colour Blush in Fashionista

Fashionista is one of essence’s soon-to-be-released Multi Colour blushes. The other color will be “How Cute is That?.” These new blushes will be released in May and will be available on ulta.com and in Ulta stores.

Packaging: 9/10

This blush comes in a clear, plastic compact with a lid that snaps shut. The compact is small, so would be great for traveling purposes.

Quality: 8.75/10

Fashionista contains 5 separate colors, ranging from a neutral, mid-tone brown, to bright pinks, to light pinks. Swirled together, you get a bright pink color.

This blush is incredibly smooth to the touch. Surprisingly, though, it goes on ever-so-slightly unevenly, so you do have to blend.

The blush is matte and lasts all day. Though you can theoretically use the brown color for contouring and the light pink/white colors for the tops of the cheeks, the compact is small. So you’d have to use a very small brush to pick up those select colors, which isn’t practical. Alternatively, you can take an eye shadow brush to pick up the brown color and use it as an eye shadow.

Ease of Use: 8.5/10

You have to blend a little to get the color to be even. You also won’t be able to pick up separate colors unless you use a small brush. Otherwise, the blush goes on very smoothly.

Price: 9.75/10

You get 5 g of product for $2-3 (exact price announced in May). This is a great price for a good-quality blush.
