Company’s Description
Luxury Eye Defining Powder is a versatile new product that combines the precise definition of an eye liner and the silky application of an eye shadow and the pearlescent finish of a shimmer powder.
Iman sells 4 colors in their Luxury Eye Defining Powder line. The color in Bewitched is reviewed, below.
Packaging: 9/10
Luxury Eye Defining Powders come in plastic tubes and have round, sponge-tip applicators. You insert the wand into the tube of shadow and then apply with the sponge tip.
Personally, I think the exterior design looks a bit dated–a characteristic I’ve noticed with much of the Iman line.
Quality: 9.25/10
This shadow is a rich, brown-based gold with copper shimmers. The formula itself is silky-smooth and applies evenly. The staying power is fairly good and will last a around 5 hours with a primer without fading.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
The sponge applicator is very convenient to use and lets you apply the shadow smoothly and precisely.
Price: 6.5/10
For $11.00 you get 1.8 grams of shadow. MAC pigments cost $20.00 and contain 4.5 grams. So, given the amount you get, you are actually paying more with Iman’s shadow.
I have found these type of eye products rock! I have Sephora’s powder shadows with the same type of applicator and it’s soooo easy to apply.
I’m intrigued by the the convenient applicator, though I agree the outside packaging looks dated. None of the drugstores near me carry Iman though. I suppose it’s time for an online order! The copper shimmers in the tube make it look lighter in that pic/in the tube than when it’s applied (the swatch makes it look like a warmish-brown with gold shimmers). Very pretty! Would you use it in a tutorial video sometime?
