Availability: Jesse’s Girl Online & Rite Aid
Price: $3.99
Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics sells 4 different 9-pan eye shadow palettes. Behind Blue Eyes is reviewed, here.
Packaging: 8.75/10
This palettes comes in a black, plastic compact with a snap-shut lid and a narrow window on the lid to let you preview the colors inside.
The packaging feels a little cheap and the pans are small, so some eye shadow brushes won’t fit in them.
Quality: 8.75/10
These shadows have good pigmentation–the best of the 3 Jesse’s Girl palettes I’ve reviewed. The palette contains mostly cool-toned blues and silvers.
All of the colors are shimmery, which doesn’t make it easy to do a full look with just this palette. The formula is smooth, but on the powdery side.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
You get decent color pay-off without needing to layer. Just be careful with fall-out since the shadows are powdery.
Price: 9/10
For $3.99, you get 9 decently-formulated colors. I think Wet-n-Wild’s palettes are a little better, overall, but Jesse’s Girl palettes contain more colors.
I like the range of blues in this pallete…I really hate all shimmer palletes though!
Hm…looks like there are a couple of colors there that I could try to use and NOT look bruised (the 2 brighter blues and all the pastels). I’ll still probably stick with Wet ‘n’ Wild just because I don’t have any Rite Aids near me. Still, it’s cheap enough to consider.
Would a MAC 239 brush head fit in the pans, do you think?
Yes.
I think this is my favorite amongst them all. Perfect for smokey! Maybe if you apply them wet they will distribute evenly???
