This is a review for L’Oreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes mascara in Black. You can find this item at your local drugstore, WalMart, and Target for around $9.00.
The Millionizer brush has a multitude of bristles to separate lashes for a fanned-out lash effect. The elastomer applicator is ultra flexible with both long and short bristles to coat each lash evenly from root to tip. The excess wiper removes excess mascara. It leaves the brush coated with just the right amount of formula to achieve maxed up volume with no overload and no clumps.
This mascara comes in tube form (like almost all mascaras) but stands out because of its gold plastic exterior. The brush has evenly-spaced, fairly short, plastic bristles.
This was a “meh” mascara. The formulation is good in terms of not being to dry or overly watery. But, beyond that, the formulation really didn’t do much.
Instead of separating the lashes (volumizing them), it actually pushes some of them together. It didn’t necessary “clump,” but there just wasn’t that fanning out of lashes that gives you “volume.” It did lengthen slightly. And it did have decent staying power throughout the day.
Ease of Use: 9/10
The mascara applied well and the brush size is good for application. Though the stopper inside the tube helps prevent too much mascara from getting onto the brush, you still get that glob on the end of the applicator, like you do with all mascaras. Make sure to wipe that part off before applying.
$9.00 is on the higher size of an average price for a drugstore mascara.
Try if: you want a mascara that’s not too watery or too dry
Buy if: you like the gold packaging–that’s really the only distinguishing reason to definitely buy this mascara
