A powder blush featuring a shade wave of gentle ombre hues. Ultra-fine formula provides the cheeks with flawless, medium-buildable coverage and lightly pearled, natural-looking radiance.
This review is for the 2 Blush Ombres included in MAC’s upcoming Daphne Guinness Collection. The colors are as follows:
- Azalea Blossom: Light cool pink (Repromote)
- Vintage Grape: Mid-tone violet pink (Repromote)
These are housed in standard MAC packaging: round plastic compacts with snap-shut, see-through lids.
Each Blush Ombre contains 2 distinct colors. Azalea Blossom has a cool-toned light pink and a darker, blue-based pink. Vintage Grape contains a mid-toned violet pink and a medium-grape purple. Each pan has small silver shimmers throughout.
Neither of these have strong pigmentation, though Vintage Grape does show up more easily, largely because it contains darker colors. The formulation is on the stiffer side, so you do need to pick up the product with several swipes of your brush.
Ease of Use: 8.5/10
Because the formula lacks softness, you need to apply several layers and blend a significant amount to even out the finish.
for $26.00, you get 9 grams of blush. Regular MAC blushes are $19.50 and contain 6 grams. You get a much better deal with the Blush Ombres, though they are not as pigmented.
