MAC’s Dazzlespheres collection includes a Mini Nail Lacquer Kit with the following colors:
- Dark Angel: Purple
- Style Tip: Soft pink nude
- Much Adored: Sheer white pink with pearl
- Mistletoe: Pale gold
The polish itself comes in tiny clear glass tubes. The nail brushes are synthetic.
The set is housed in a plastic globe with the top-half being see-through and bottom-half being silver. You twist the halves to open up the globe and access the product. This packaging makes for a great holiday gift.
Dark Angel is a medium-to-deep violet purple. Despite the label on the bottom of the bottle, this color has a juicy finish, not a frost finish. Style Tip is a pinky-nude with a juicy finish. Much Adored is a sheer white with a golden pearlized finish. Mistletoe is a shimmer-packed gold with a hint of green in it.
Much Adored and Mistletoe can go on with just one coat. Dark Angel and Style Tip need 2-3 coats.
This is a good range of colors: you have 2 neutral colors (Style Tip and Much Adored) and 2 more festive colors (Dark Angel and Mistletoe).
As a side-note, MAC originally set Dark Angel to be a green color. If you look at the original promotional images, you can see a green nail lacquer. For whatever reason, Dark Angel was switched to a purple color.
Ease of Use: 9/10
The smaller tops actually make application easier. I normally find the bulky MAC nail polish tops to be awkward to hold while I’m applying nail polish.
Each bottle contains 0.09 oz, so for $25.50 you get a total of 0.36 oz of polish. One bottle of regular MAC polish costs $15.00 and contains 0.34 oz. $15.00 is already a ridiculous price to pay for a third of an ounce of polish, and you’re getting an even worse deal with this set. The only advantage to paying the extra cost for this kit is that you get a selection of colors.
