This review covers the 3 MAC Fashion Flower Lipgelees in Now in Season, Fashionflower, and Budding Beauty.
- Now in Season: pale yellow with pearlized pigment (limited edition)
- Fashionflower: pale pink with pearlized pigments (limited edition)
- Budding Beauty: pale coral with pearlized pigments (limited edition)
Please see this post for more photos of the lipgelees.
These lipgelees come in standard MAC packaging. The tubes are made of soft plastic, have slanted applicators, and can easily be taken on-the-go.
Now in Season is a pale gold color with blue and gold shimmers. Fashionflower has a ton of silver shimmers and is a pale white-pink color. Budding Beauty is the least glittery of the 3 lipgelees and is a very soft, creamy coral color.
All of these glosses apply smoothly. Now in Season and Fashionflower are slightly sticky; Budding Beauty is less so.
Lipgelees are known for their extremely glittery finishes. If you’re a fan of glitter, these are perfect. Otherwise, the level of glitter can be difficult to pull off.
You also have to be careful with the glitter traveling off the lips. If you eat or drink and smudge the gloss, you’ll get glitter around your mouth. Removal is also difficult. You’ll have to really scrub off the gloss to pick up all the glitter from the skin.
Ease of Use: 9/10
The glosses apply smoothly and the slanted applicators make application easy. The only difficulty is in removal and getting all the glitter off your skin.
These are the same size (0.5 oz) and price ($14.50) as regular MAC lipgelees.
Try if: you want a shimmery finish for night-wear
