MAC’s Glitter & Ice collection includes 2 limited-edition Beauty Powders:
- Snowglobe: Frosty pinky beige
- How Beautiful!: Pale shimmering beige
Beauty Powders are housed in white plastic compacts that have mirrors on the inside of the flip-up lid. The mirrors give this packaging a boost in score.
These beauty powders are awesome.
It is surprisingly difficult to find a great powder highlighter. You need the right color, the right level of softness without it being too powdery, and you don’t want the shimmers to be too large.
These two beauty powders fit the bill perfectly. Both could be used on any skin tone and color. If you are choosing between the two, go with Snowglobe for light skin and How Beautiful! for warm or medium-dark skin. The shimmer has been milled finely so that you get a sheen finish. The formula is not chalky or overly powdery.
There really isn’t much else to say–these are wonderful!
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
Dip your brush in and apply. It’s very hard to over-do. If you want a more intense gleam, layer the product. These blend so nicely into the skin; the pictures don’t do this product justice.
You get 10 g of product for $24.00. What’s curious is that past beauty powders that didn’t have special-edition packaging (like Fashionflower’s Beauty Powders) were $25.00. Other past Beauty Powders were $22.00, but that was before the general $1.00 price increase MAC made a couple months back. So it’s difficult to tell how the price of these powders compare, but my guess is that non-special-packaging Beauty Powders will cost $23.00, making these higher in price because of the white packaging.
