This review covers the 2 MAC Jeanius powder blushes: Overdyed & Pink Cult.
Please see this post for more photos.
These blushes come in standard MAC compacts. They are lightweight plastic with see-through lids. The compacts are durable and portable.
Overdyed is a bright magenta color while Pink Cult is a “dirty neutral pink.” Pink Cult actually has a minimal pink color–it’s a very dusty (not in a bad way) color.
These both apply well and will last all day. Overdyed will probably be too over-bearing for the lightest skin colors (lighter than NC/W 20). Pink Cult, by the same token, will probably not show up on your skin if it’s darker than NC/W 35.
Overdyed isn’t particularly unique–there are plenty of other magenta blushes out there. Conversely, Pink Cult is quite a unique color and already sold out on MAC’s website. I would recommend trying to get it at your local store as soon as possible on March 3rd if you want it.
Ease of Use: 9/10
Unless you have dark skin, be light-handed with Overdyed to avoid looking clown-ish. With Pink Cult, you will probably want to put on at least 2 layers.
This price ($19.50) is standard for MAC powder blushes. But I feel like $19.50 is a little steep, even for a good blush, so I’m taking off a little from the pricing score.
Try: Pink Cult if you’re NC/W 30-35–you’ll need to test whether it shows up on your skin
Buy: Overdyed if you have dark skin and want a magenta blush or Pink Cult if you’re NC/W 10-25
