This review covers the 4 MAC MAC Me Over lipsticks from Part II of the collection.
- Rebel (satin): Vivid pinkish purple (Permanent)
- Prince Noir (matte): Deep blue-purple (Limited Edition)
- Smoked Purple (matte): Deep eggplant purple (Permanent at PRO)
- Runaway Red (satin): Rich red-blue (Limited Edition)
Packaging: 9/10
These lipsticks come in standard MAC packaging. The tubes are made of plastic and can easily be taken on-the-go.
Quality: 9/10
All four colors are pigmented and apply opaquely.
Prince Noir and Smoked Purple are both dark purple colors, with Prince Noir being slightly more red. Rebel is a purple-ish strawberry color. Runaway Red is a great blue-based red color.
The formula for all four colors is also great. They apply smoothly and will last 3-4 hours if you don’t eat or drink.
Ease of Use: 9.25/10
Application is straight-forward. The formula glides on easily and you don’t need to layer to get a vibrant color. Just be precise in application since these are strong colors.
Price: 9/10
These are the same size (0.1 oz) as regular MAC lipsticks and cost $14.50 each.
I love the Smoked Purple .
Is there any way you could swatch Runaway Red with some other MAC reds? I am really curious to see how it compares…
These are all way too bright/dark for me, but it’s fun looking at them anyway. Would you ever wear these colors out (not that they look bad, they’re just so dramatic!)?
i would totally wear Rebel and Runway Red out.
Much braver than me!
Prince Noir & Smoked Purple are beautiful.
