This review covers the MAC Quite Cute Cutie Eye Shadow Quad. The quad contains the following colors:
- Moshi! Moshi! (frost): pale white green gold
- Goody Goody Gum Drop (satin): light white pink
- Boycrazy (lustre): pale lavender with silver pearl pigments
- Azuki Bean (frost): mid-tone violet
Please see this post for more photos.
MAC quads come in recently re-designed packaging. The quads come in square, plastic compacts with clear, magnetized lids.
All of these colors are shimmery, with Boycrazy having the largest (silver) sparkles. All the colors are also fairly sheer, with Goody Goody Gum Drop being the least pigmented and Azuki Bean showing up the best (in part due to its dark color).
Boycrazy looks surprisingly alluring on the skin. It’s this pale lavender color, but the distinct silver shimmers are what really make this color stand out. Moshi! Moshi! has a very pale green tint to it in the pan, but once applied, it’s pretty much a shimmery white color.
This quad could work for a wearable Spring or Easter look because you wouldn’t want super pigmented shadows for that kind of look anyway. But if you want distinct or pigmented colors, this isn’t the quad for you.
Ease of Use: 7.5/10
You need to layer all these colors because they are sheer. It’s also difficult to not muddle the colors together, given their universal sheerness. The colors show up slightly better over an eye shadow base.
Single, un-potted eye shadows are $11.00 each. Given that you get 4 shadows and packaging with these quads, $36.00 is a good price.
