Packaging: 9/10
These lipsticks come in standard MAC packaging. The tubes are made of plastic and can easily be taken on-the-go.
Quality: 9/10
All of these lipsticks give you bright and pigmented colors. The two cremesheen colors (Quite Cute and Play Time) are not as opaque, but if you layer the lipstick several times, you’ll get good color payoff.
The most moisturizing of the lipsticks are the 2 cremesheen colors. Despite being a matte, though, Candy Yum-Yum isn’t too drying. Remember that Saint Germain is a permanent color, so don’t feel pressured to buy it with this collection.
Playing Koi is the least impressive of these lipsticks. It’s a common pale nude color and also settles into your lip lines.
All MAC’s lipsticks have a light vanilla scent.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
Even the less creamy formulations (like Saint Germain and Candy Yum-Yum) apply smoothly enough to not give you too much trouble. You’ll need to layer Quite Cute and Play Time if you want to get their true colors to show up, but otherwise, application is simple.
Price: 9/10
These are the same size (0.1 oz) and price ($14.50) as regular MAC lipsticks.
Try if: you need a lip color for an Easter celebration
Buy if: you love bright, bold, Spring colors
I like the playing koi and play time lipsticks… they are pretty
Playing Koi looks amazing. I don`t think I can wait until April 7!
i’m a fan of the Play Time Applied…it looks more glossy than I would have though!
Candy Yum Yum and Play Time look great on you
Very pretty shades.
I really like Playtime…didn’t think I would!
I would love if Playing Koi was more of an orange/coral, like a Koi :3
Thanks for the great reviews and pictures!
You’re welcome!
