- Girl ♥ Boy: bright light blue pink
- I ♥ U: creamy mid-tone purple
Please see this post for more photos.
These glosses come in standard MAC packaging. The tubes are made of plastic and can easily be taken on-the-go. Plushglasses come with doe-foot applicators.
Plushglass lip glosses are supposed to “plump” the lips. Like with a lot of plumping lip products, these contain an ingredient that basically irritates the skin, making it swell ever so slightly. There really isn’t any true “plumping” effect, but the glosses will make your lips tingle. If you have sensitive skin, this gloss isn’t for you.
The glosses in this collection smell like vanilla cake. It’s not too sweet, but it is noticeable.
All of these colors go on translucent. Fashion Fanatic and Bubble Tea are such subtle colors, that they barely change my lip color at all and it’s hard to tell the difference between them. The difference between Girl ♥ Boy and I ♥ U is also slight, but it’s more noticeable than with Fashion Fanatic and Bubble Tea.
These glosses are not sticky.
Ease of Use: 9/10
Since these colors are all translucent, you don’t need extra precise application. The doe-foot applicator is good for applying the glosses too.
These are the same size (0.14 fl oz) and price ($18.50) as regular MAC Plushglasses. I find this pricing odd, given that MAC Lustreglasses and Tinted Lipglasses are not only bigger (0.17 fl oz), but cheaper ($14.50). There isn’t anything super special about Plushglass glosses (other than “plumping”), so the more than $4.00 difference isn’t justified.
Try if: Fashion Fanatic or Bubble Tea/Girl ♥ Boy or I ♥ U
Buy if: you want sheer color and like the tingle of “plumping” glosses
