Packaging: 9/10
These shadows come in standard MAC packaging except with the limited-edition Surf, Baby! design on the surface of the packaging. The compacts are plastic and come with snap-shut, flip-up tops.
Quality: 9.75/10
Saffron is an orange brick color. Short Shorts is a slightly warm, shimmery white. Sun Blonde is a shimmery, dirty gold. Surf USA is a frosted teal. Swell Baby is a shimmery grey.
These colors, across the board, are fantastically pigmented. Usually, MAC collections have some colors that are pigmented and some that aren’t. For Surf, Baby!, all these colors are consistently pigmented. The best color is Surf USA. MAC has released countless teals, but Surf USA is probably the smoothest, most pigmented teal the company has come out with.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
All the colors are smooth in application and texture. You need, at most, 2 layers to get a strong finish.
Price: 8.75/10
These are the same size (1.5 g) as regular MAC shadows, but cost a dollar more ($15.50). This extra cost is due to the limited-edition packaging. But since MAC doesn’t have to pay for any extra fees for the packaging, I feel the extra cost is unnecessary.
love love the last look!!!!
Would you do an EOTD with Surf USA?
I am super busy, but I will do my best.
Surf USA and Swell Baby are such beautiful colors!
So glad that the quality is there this time!
