This review covers MAC’s 4 Surf, Baby! lipglass lip glosses.
- Girl on Board: pale white gold (limited edition)
- Good Loving: soft peachy pink (limited edition)
- Krazy Kahuna: warm mid-tone brown (limited edition)
- Strange Potion: soft coral pink (re-promote from Venomous Villains)
Please see this post for full photos of these lip glosses.
These glosses come in standard MAC packaging except with the limited-edition Surf, Baby! design on the surface of the packaging. The tubes are made of plastic and can easily be taken on-the-go. The glosses have doe-foot applicators.
Girl on Board is a sparkly white color; Good Loving is a sparkly, light peachy/pink; Krazy Kahuna is a non-sparkly brown; Strange Potion is a slightly shimmery coral pink.
All of these colors have good pigmentation. Like with most lipglasses, these aren’t super sticky.
All the colors are pretty wearable, with Krazy Kahuna likely being the most difficult to pull off if you have pale skin.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
The small doe-foot makes application easy and the formulation/pigmentation makes it so you don’t have to put on a bunch of layers to get the color in the tube.
These are the same size (0.17 fl oz) as regular MAC lipglasses, but cost a dollar more ($15.50). This is due to the limited-edition packaging, but unlike other collections where MAC has to collaborate with another company (think: Disney for Venomous Villains), MAC doesn’t have to pay fees to use these limited-edition designs. I think the extra cost is unnecessary and so bumped down the price score slightly.
