This is a review for myface Cosmetics’ 3 blingtone eye shadows in Purple Haze, Black Ice, and Crystalline Green. These shadows are part of myface’s blingbar line, are $18.00 each and can be purchased on myfacecosmetics.com/home.
Please also see the review for myface’s lil’ bling nail polishes in the same shades.
Packaging: 8.75/10
These shadows come in clear, plastic compacts. The compacts have “bling tone” on one side and the name of the color on the other. Aesthetically, the packaging is too simple and I feel there should be a more obvious design to at least the top of the compact. There is also no information on the packaging telling you how much product you’re getting.
Quality: 9.75/10
All of these shadows have an extremely silver, glittery finish. Purple Haze is a sugary purple, Black Ice is a blend of dark greys, silver, crushed onyx, and diamonds, and Crystalline Green is an emerald green.
The shadows are slightly gritty to the touch because they have so many glitters. But the shadow itself goes on smoothy and evenly. All of the colors are extremely pigmented. They also are very long-wearing. In fact, the color stays on so well that you have work a little to get it off your skin.
You can use these either wet or dry. You will get slightly more intense colors when using it wet, but you get great pigmentation using them normally, so it’s not necessary.
The other great part about these shadows is that, despite being extremely glittery, you don’t get a lot of fall-out with the glitters.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
These shadows apply smoothly and evenly and can be used wet or dry.
Price: 9/10
These shadows are $18.00 each. There’s no information about how much product you get. But the pans are bigger than MAC shadows, which are $14.50 each. The quality is phenomenal, so paying a little extra is justified (though I technically can’t say you’re paying extra, since I don’t know how much more product you’re getting with myface’s shadows).
Try if: you want super glittery shades
Buy if: you want intense, glittery, and long-wearing shadows
Wow! Those are really gorgeous…It’s too blingy for me, but if I ever need that much glitter in my life, I know EXACTLY where to go! Would you be able to post a pic where you’re looking up/into the camera instead of down?
I sometimes do, but for the purpose of showing what the shadow looks like on the skin, I have to look down.
These are gorgeous! I am definitely going to order these!!!!
Gorgeous shades.
i wanna ask how did u wet ur eyeshadow brush??? have u used water or anything else???
I used either Fix + or a mix of water and glycerine in a spray bottle. I pick up the shadow on the brush and then spray the bristles.
I have got ELF makeup Set and mist with me, can i use this to make my shadow wet ????
Yes.
I heard these are actually made with crushed pearl instead of glitter which is how they get the effect and also why they’re slightly more expensive than a Mac glitter eyeshadow I think…..my faves gilt-y!
Yes, that’s right.
I love Crystalline Green! It’ll be great to add ‘a pop of colour’
Wow these are so cute! This is my first time seeing swatches from this brand. I really like the shimmer, looks like it applies just as nicely as it looks in-package.
I give them an A too. The colours are so beautiful, they look like jewelery, even on your eyes.
Purple Haze looks the prettiest!
