A few weeks ago, I found some limited-edition NYC products, including the Blushable Creme Stick in Gold Radiance, reviewed here.
NYC’s Blushable Creme Sticks come in plastic tubes that twist at the base to push up more product. The tubes are light-weight and the tops snap on.
Although the product looks gold in the tube, it goes on transparent, leaving behind only finely-milled gold shimmers. The sheen you get is very, very natural and subtle. Layering intensifies the effect slightly.
When swatched on my arm, this highlighter looks almost oily and I was worried this finish would translate when applied to the face. But when applied to the cheeks, it doesn’t have the same oily sheen.
This highlighter is good if you are wearing no foundation or liquid foundation. It lasts through the day, but may be too subtle for some. It’s definitely a “conservative” highlighter.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
This is one of the simplest highlighters to use. It transfers onto the skin effortlessly and blends nicely. The only extra time you’ll have to spend with application is if you decide to layer it.
You get a whopping 8 g of highlighter for $4.00!
