This is a review for OPI’s new Spring 2011 collection “Femme de Cirque.” The collection will be available in April at select stores.
Femme de Cirque by OPI offers four subtle, sophisticated Nail Lacquers that are the perfect accessory to any outfit. Delicate yet empowering, each shade is an elegant choice for any occasion. These show-stopping hues will complement any look – from classic to trendy or day to night – by infusing a dose of soft feminine charm.
These polishes come in classic OPI bottles. The brushes and handles are both of medium length, which makes application easy. The brush is flat, which also helps with application.
This collection has very pretty colors–nudes, light pinks, and toned-down shimmers. Just keep in mind that the colors are all very subtle; you won’t be getting any bold pinks or opaque finishes with this collection.
So Many Clowns So Little Time is a light creamy nude color. Step Right Up is a pale pink, nearing-white color. In the Spot-Light Pink is a translucent, light pink color. I Juggle Men is a clear color with tiny purple, blue, and pink shimmers.
You can get a semi-opaque finish with So Many Clowns and Step Right Up. In the Spot-Light Pink is entirely translucent and gives your nails the subtlest pink tint–like your natural nail color but with a slight flush of color. I Juggle Men has small shimmering particles that gleam when you move your nails.
Ease of Use: 9/10
For the most part, these polishes go on well. Step Right Up goes on slightly unevenly, but with 2 coats, you can get an even finish. I suggest using 2 coats for each of these colors.
The length of the handle and the brush make application controlled and easy.
You get 15 ml of product for $8.50 each. This price is comparable to the cost of other high-end nail polishes from companies like China Glaze and Essie.
