This is a review for Organix’s Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment. This treatment is available at drugstores, Target, and WalMart for around $8.

Company’s Description
Renew your hair’s inner health with argan oil nutrients, antioxidants, and vitamin E. Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment is a deep conditioning, exotic formula to add brilliant shine and create lush softness without leaving any heavy residue which can weigh hair down.
Packaging: 8.5/10
This hair treatment comes in a plastic tub with a twist-off top. It’s a little bulky, and a squeeze tube would be less messy. With a tub, you have to dip your fingers into the product to get it out.
Quality: 7/10
This treatment has a nice, light scent. I don’t know how to substantively describe the scent, but as someone who’s pretty picky with fragrances, I can say it’s a pleasant scent.
As for a deep conditioner, this product is middle-of-the-road. It feels like other deep conditioners–thick and goopey. And it applies like other deep conditioners. But after you’ve washed it out and dried your hair, it doesn’t feel much softer than it would after using a regular conditioner.
If this were a normal conditioner, the performance would be good, but deep conditioners are supposed to condition and saturate your hair above and beyond a regular conditioner. This treatment doesn’t give your hair any extra level of shine or silkiness.
Ease of Use: 9/10
This treatment applies like most other deep conditioners. You apply it and leave it in for 3-5 minutes, then rinse it out. If you want, you can also leave it in for longer (around 10 minutes) and let the shower water heat up the product.
My main criticism is having to scoop out the product with your fingers from the jar. It’s hard to not get water in the tub.
Price: 9/10
You get 8 fl oz of product for $8, which is a pretty good price. You can probably get 8-12 uses out of the tub.
Try if: you have oily hair but still want to try a deep conditioner
Buy if: you have very fine hair and want a treatment that can replace your conditioner
stupid question, but do you put it in wet or dry hair? it doesn’t say on the bottle.
You’d put it on wet hair after you’ve shampooed. I supposed you could also put it in dry hair if you’re just doing a deep condition, but it’s much easier to use on wet hair.
can i leave this product as a leave in conditioner
I wouldn’t. It’s too heavy/thick for that.
can i live moroccan argan oil as a live in conditioner. i love oRganix.
Hmm what does this smell like exactly? Good, bad, etc? Is there any significant change to hair as opposed to using a standard conditioner? Thanks!
Unless you have very fine hair, I’d pass on this product. It doesn’t do anything special. But it does smell nice.
