This review is for Rimmel London’s Moisture Renew lipgloss in #125 “Mauve Renew.” This gloss also comes in 10 other shades. The company claims that the gloss is “super moisturizing” and will reduce dryness “up to 95%.”
Packaging: 9.5/10
This gloss comes in a rectangular tube and has a pinched doe-foot applicator.
Quality: 10/10
The formula has zero stickiness to it, glides on smoothly, and moisturizes your lips.
It wears well–2-3 hours if you aren’t eating or drinking. More importantly, it wears evenly so you don’t have patches of color left behind.
Mauve Renew is also a stunning color. It looks unassuming in the tube and might even be passed over by some people because it leans brown. But when it’s applied, it is a stunning, semi-opaque mauve with micro-glitters. I imagine this color working on any skin color or skin tone.
The best thing about this lipgloss is that it has an SPF of 15. Lip products so often lack any sun protection. It’s crucial to protect your skin from everyday exposure to the sun, including your lips. This lip gloss has everything you need!
Ease of Use: 10/10
The narrow applicator makes precise application easy. And the formula makes the gloss glide on smoothly and evenly.
Price: 9/10
With 0.2 fl oz at $5.99, this gloss is competitively priced when compared to its Revlon and CoverGirl counter-parts.
Zero stickyness? Sounds great… hope these will be out in Europe soon.
I don’t know if those sunscreen actives will protect against both UVA and UVB rays, but it sure does look pretty! I don’t think I’ve seen them in my drugstores…I’ll have to keep an eye out!
They’ve been out in drugstores for quite a while now.
Well, I have to admit I haven’t been paying much attention to Rimmel’s glosses.
Looks nice! I hope they’re going to be sold in Europe!
It looks good on your skin.
