Senna Cosmetic’s Baby Face 21 brush is available for $26.00 on Senna’s website.
An ultra-soft, pampering brush to apply loose powder in eye area, to set concealers, and brush on highlighter powders. Great for spot blushing and dusting color onto eyelids.
When you purchase this brush, Senna will send it to you in its own, individual plastic cover that can be used for keeping the bristles clean when you take this brush on-the-go.
This brush is fantastic, both in quality and diversity of use.
First, the bristles are very, very soft. This is particularly important because you’ll likely be using this brush around your eyes, where your skin is more sensitive.
Second, the brush is well-made. The bristles are cut so that the edges of the brush are smooth across the skin. The ferrule is also securely attached to the handle of the brush. Lower-quality brushes tend to be put together with weaker glue and often fall apart after several washes. Senna’s brushes stay in tact even after dozens of washes.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
This brush works for many types of application. The brush is small–about 2/3 inch across and a little more than 1 inch tall. It’s the perfect size for applying highlighter to the cheekbones or down the bridge of the nose. It’s equally perfect for applying powder to set under-eye concealer. The brush also works if you’re laying down a wash of nude shadow all over the lid and brow-bone area.
Admittedly, $26.00 does feel steep for a relatively small brush. But a comparable high-end brush from MAC (the 109 Small Contour Brush) is $32.00, so Senna’s price is actually quite reasonable. Plus, it’s a decent price to ask for a high-quality brush you won’t be replacing for a long, long time.
