Company’s Description

Sleek MakeUP’s Nude collection wraps up your autumn beauty look in one warm, earthy and wearable collection. Bare Minimum Pout Polish is a glossy nude with Jojoba, avocado and sweet Almond oils, ensuring that chapped lips are a thing of the past.

Sleek’s Pout Polishes come in 11 shades. This review is for the color Bare Minimum, which was released with the Nude collection.

Packaging: 8.5/10

Pout Polishes come in plastic jars with twist-off tops. This packaging isn’t ideal because you have to dip your finger into the product each time you want to use it, which introduces bacteria into the balm.

Quality: 8/10

The formula is very emollient, bringing plenty of moisture to the lips. Being a lip balm, it’s not very long-wearing and will last on the lips for a couple of hours before needing re-application.

Bare Minimum also gives no color to the lips. Even though Sleek intends this to be a bare color, I would have preferred some sort of color-change, whether it be slightly beige or pink.

It also has an almond-vanilla scent that isn’t overpowering.

The best part about Pout Polishes is the inclusion of titanium dioxide–the ingredient that provides UVA and UBV protection for an SPF of 15.

Ease of Use: 10/10

Application couldn’t be simpler, since this balm is very emollient and goes on nude.

Price: 9/10

For $6.50, you get 0.34 ounces (almost 10 grams) of balm.

I rather have it in a stick or tube form, but the consistency seems nice.
    Thanks for the review!

  2. Cindy says:

I have this one.. it’s very sheer almost undetectable!

  3. Lisa B. says:

Well, the SPF is great! Now they just need to add a range of tints–but since they don’t have any color, I’m sticking with my blistex spf stick. Oh, and making them in sticks would be much more convenient.
