This is a review for Vapour Organic Beauty’s Aura Multi-Use Blush in Crush 201. You can purchase this blush for $28.00 on the company’s website.
Get a lit–from–within glamour with this multi–tasking superstar. Aura Radiant will highlight and define your cheeks, lips, and eyes with soft shimmering sophistication. Shades are designed to work with every skin tone and every age. Fun on shoulders and décolletage too!
This is a stick blush, so it comes in a plastic tube and has a base that twists up to reveal more product. The tube is light-weight and easy to take on-the-go.
Crush is a light, soft pink color. It’s a pretty color, but will only show up on light skin. I’m an NC20 in MAC foundation (now that it’s winter), and it takes some work to get this color to show up on me.
The formula is creamy but also slightly oily. There’s a bit of tackiness to the blush when you apply it. This is both a good and bad thing. It’s good because you get a natural, glowy finish. It’s bad because it means the blush sticks to anything that touches it–your fingers, a brush, a sponge. This makes the finish uneven and splotchy after you try to blend the blush out.
Ease of Use: 7.5/10
It’s difficult to blend in this blush because the formula is tacky. The blush will come off in the areas that you’re trying to blend. It’s also difficult to layer the product for the same reasons.
If you’re willing to work with the product, you can get a somewhat even finish. Set with powder.
You get 9.63 g for $28.00. Clinique’s blush sticks contain 6 g and cost $19.00, so this blush is a little cheaper given the amount you get.
