This look was inspired by MAC’s Peacocky collection, though I used only one Peacocky product–a Kissable Lipcolour in Vanity Fair. For a smoky-eye look I’ve done with Peacocky eye shadows, see this post.
For the Eyes:
Apply Delft Paint Pot to your lids and slightly above the crease. Use a dense, flat eye shadow brush and apply Jinx to the inner third of your eyes and outer third of your eyes, to slightly above the crease. Wing out the color as far as you want, making sure the line thins out as you get further away from the outer corner. Keep the center of your lid clear. Take Jinx and apply it to the center of your lower lash-line and waterline.
Take Flipside and apply it to the center of your lid, blending it into Jinx on both sides. Also apply it to the inner and outer thirds of your lower lash-line and waterline.
Line your upper lash-line with a black eyeliner and apply mascara.
Take any mix of colors you want and, with the same type of eye shadow brush, drag the color around your cheekbones in short strokes to get a feather effect. As an optional step, you can apply a color to the brows.
This is absolutely gorgeous and so creative. I only wish I could be that daring with my makeup, but alas I don’t think I can pull it off.
You should try it out! I’m not usually very daring with my makeup either. But it’s fun to do once in a while for parties .
very creative!! goood job!
Thank you.
Love it! I have been raving about these shadows to anyone who will listen, they are amazing!
This post makes me want to go back and get Vanity Fair >_<
It's great when people get creative with new collections, it really helps to spur on inspiration!
I’m glad you like it.
Vanity Fair is definitely a pretty color.
