This indispensable brush blends effortlessly for smooth, even foundation application. The specially designed brush head is angled to fit the contours of your face. Silky synthetic bristles glide over the complexion, seamlessly building coverage from sheer to full with ease.
This review is for BareMineral’s brand new Precision Face Brush. The company released this brush along with its new Ready Foundation (review here). The brush is marketed as a powder foundation brush. Keep reading for my thoughts on the quality and application!
This brush measures approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter and 3/4-1 inch in height. The brush is angled and has very densely-packed bristles. Despite being densely packed, the brush’s synthetic bristles are still soft to the touch and have a little bit of flexibility.
This brush does a great job at its described purpose: foundation application. Its dense quality smooths out powder foundation so that it looks even and smooth on the skin. You can get a sheer layer of product by utilizing the brush’s buffing abilities, or layer foundation to get full coverage by utilizing the brush’s density.
I don’t have any problems with the bristles falling out of the brush.
My only small criticism of this brush is that it’s pretty limited in its use. It’s good for buffing powder foundation, but is too densely packed for application of other powders like blush or contour color (unless you want a heavy, heavy contour). But BareMinerals doesn’t market this brush as being good for anything beyond foundation application, so I don’t penalize the product’s quality score on this point.
This brush is pleasant-feeling on the skin and buffs powder foundation into the skin beautifully, leaving a smooth finish. I would use only powder products with this brush. The brush takes longer to dry because of the synthetic and densely-packed bristles.
