Introducing Live in Love Eau de Parfum—the new fragrance for women created by a man who adores them. Inspired by Oscar de la Renta’s passion for life, the scent is a reflection of the woman who lives each day the same, filled with joy and beauty.
Here are my thoughts on Oscar de la Renta’s Live in Love eau de parfum, 2012 FiFi Finalist for Fragrance of the Year (Nouveau Niche Category).
Top notes: sparkling ginger, orchid, lily of the valley
Mid-notes: jasmine sambac, orange flower, rose
Base notes: sensual musk, amber, sandalwood, cedarwood
This perfume comes in an octagonal, glass spray bottle that is very simply designed.
After the perfume has dried, it gives off an equal mix of sweet and sensual notes. The fragrance is noticeable without being over-powering. It’s a scent that’s neither youthful nor mature.
The smell fades considerably after 4 hours, so it’s not particularly long-wearing. But how long a perfume lasts also largely depends on how you wear it (where you apply it, how much you apply, etc.).
What I like most about this fragrance is that it’s balanced. Overly flowery scents aren’t my cup of tea. And although Live in Love has a lot of flower notes, they don’t overpower the musk, amber, sandalwood, and cedarwood notes.
