Company’s Description
Luxe metallics for eyes. Our award-winning formula—infused with sparkle. For a sheer effect, blend on lids with your fingers. For a more dramatic look, add another layer. Or wear on top of your favorite matte cream shadow for soft shimmer. Stays color-true and crease-free all day.
Bobbi Brown offers 11 shades of its Metallic Long-Wear Cream Shadow. The shade Starry Night is reviewed, below.
Packaging: 9.25/10
These cream shadows come in small glass jars with screw-on lids. I find the lids on this packaging close more tightly than, say, MAC’s Paint Pots, which helps keep the product from drying out.
Quality: 8.8/10
Starry Night is a navy blue with a ton of beautiful blue and silver sparkles. The finish is not opaque.
The consistency is creamier than Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow in “Heather.” Consequently, it is easier to apply, but creases earlier.
Ease of Use: 9/10
This applies easily because of the shadow’s creamy consistency. You can apply with your fingers or a flat brush. Fluffier brushes won’t be able to pick up the product. You’ll need to apply a shadow over and primer underneath to keep the shadow from creasing.
Price: 9/10
For $24.00, you get 0.12 ounces of product. MAC Paint Pots cost $18.50 and contain 0.17 ounces while Metal-X Cream Shadows cost $20.00 and contain only 0.08 ounces.
A good base for dramatic eyes!
This is such a pretty colour! Too bad it’s not opaque coz it really would’ve jazzed up a smokey eye!
