Cargo Cosmetic’s Beach Blushes come in 6 different color-combinations that each contain 4 blush/bronzer colors. This review is for Echo Beach, which contains a warm, berry bronze color medley.
Cargo’s blushes come in the company’s signature circular tin packaging. The tops slide off and the light-weight nature of the material makes these a good choice for traveling with.
Echo Beach contains a medium-toned dirty pink, a champagne-pink, a brick red, and a coppery-bronze. The shades are on the sheer side upon initial application. You can build up the pigmentation by applying multiple layers.
In the pan, this blush looks quite frosty. But once the product is applied to the cheeks you get a layer of sheen without any individual shimmer particles. You can get a soft sheen effect by applying the powder lightly or build up the blush to get a strong sheen finish.
I find the formula for this shade to be more stiff compared to most of Cargo’s regular-line blushes, which means you don’t get as strong of a color with the first layer. It also means that the finish is slightly uneven.
The combination of colors in Echo Beach can be used dynamically. You can use just the 2 lighter colors as a highlighter, just the 2 darker colors for a blush, all the colors combined as a blush, or all the colors combined and lightly applied for a slightly shimmery bronzing effect.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
The best way to apply this blush is with a fluffy powder brush. You may find that you need to buff out the product and touch-up on patchy areas.
For $30.00 you get 9 grams (0.317 ounces) of product. For the price, this is noticeably more product compared to similar brands like Stila, LORAC, and Tarte.
