This long-wearing lipstick goes the distance, resisting fading while adding bold color and beautiful shine. The expert formula combines waxes, radiant oils, and hyaluronic microspheres for ultimate comfort and a lip-plumping effect.
The Dior Addict Extreme Lipsticks come in over a dozen shades and are said to be long-wearing and lip-plumping. This review is for the shade 536 Lucky–a bright, sheer, pink-red.
The Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick comes in a metal-looking, plastic tube with a black, slide-off cover. As would be expected from a luxury brand like Dior, the packaging is sleek and elegant.
Despite looking like a bright, orange-red in the tube, Lucky is actually a sheer pink-red color that goes on slightly translucent and leaves a balm-like finish. The color is bright and very pigmented.
The formula is very moisturizing and smooth. The wear-time lasts about 2-2.5 hours, slightly above average for a normal lipstick. But even after the product has come off, it leaves a medium stain on the lips for the next hour. Dior artfully claims that this lipstick will give a lip-plumping “effect,” but there won’t be any change in the plumpness of your lips, other than what a normal balm would do for them.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
The emollient formula of this lipstick glides across the lips effortlessly and the sheer color makes it easy to apply.
For $30.00, you get 0.12 ounces of product. For comparison, YSL’s Volupte Sheer Candy lipstick costs $30.00 and contains 0.14 ounces while Guerlain’s Shine Automatique Hydrating Lip Shines cost $35.00 and contain 0.12 ounces. So, Dior’s price-point is average for a luxury brand.
