Eyes Lips Face (aka e.l.f.) offers 4 different shades of it Studio Body Shimmers. This review is for all of the following shades:
- Mystic Moonlight
- Cosmic Coral
- Golden Glow
- Blazing Bronze
Body Shimmers come in plastic, squared-oval tubes with a dial at the base that pushes the product up. The tops slide on and off.
The packaging looks and feel low-quality. Out of the 4 I tested, the dial for Mystic Moonlight was broken and didn’t push up the product inside.
Mystic Moonlight is a frosty white. Cosmic Coral is a bright pink without a strong hue of coral. Golden Glow is a yellow-based gold. Blazing Bronze is a tan with gold shimmer. All 4 colors have good pigmentation.
The formula is decently creamy, though not quite as creamy as the NARS Multiples formula. You get a shimmer finish to the surface of the skin without it looking chunky or gaudy. The shimmer particles are small and there’s no gritty texture. There’s no oily texture or sheen either.
The Studio Body Shimmers are a great choice if you want an affordable alternative to NARS Multiples (which cost $39.00 each).
The formula does fade over time (after about 3 hours of wear), so they aren’t as long-wearing as their NARS Multiple counter-parts.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
These have a creamy formula that blend across the skin easily.
For just $3.00 you get 0.35 ounces of product. Even for a drugstore-level brand, this is a great price for the amount of product. NYX’s Stick Blushes are $6.00 and contain 0.013 ounces of product.
