Packaging: 9/10

Just like with FaceFront’s Mineralize Blushes, the Flashlight Highlight Powders come in plastic jars that have twist-off tops and sifters inside. The packaging is lightweight and the tops fit securely, making these good for putting in your makeup case.

Loose powders are inevitably more messy than pressed powders, but the holes in the sifters are the right size so that you don’t get too much powder going everywhere.

Quality: 9.5/10

Autofocus is a cream color, Double Exposure is medium nude and Gamma Ray is a slightly violet-toned, light pink. When applied, all of these colors retain distinct hues. At the same time, the colors are subtle enough to be wearable across a wide range of skin tones.

The Flashlight Highlighting Powders are extraordinarily shimmery. But the shimmers are so finely-milled that the sheen left on the skin is very wearable.

The formula is soft, smooth, and applies evenly. You can achieve a subtle illuminating effect by using a fan brush and a very dramatic effect with a denser brush and layering.

Ease of Use: 9.75/10

These powders glide on effortlessly and layer effectively. Of course, you need to be careful with getting shimmery powder on your hands and other matte products.

Price: 9.25/10

Flashlight Highlight Powders cost $17.00 and contain 9 grams of product. For comparison, MAC’s Iridescent Loose Powders cost $23.00 and contain 12 grams. You get a little more product for the price with FaceFront.
