This review is for the 4 Pressed Eyeshadows releasing with FaceFront’s upcoming Paradise in Flight Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Printed: An intense, absolute jet-black matte (Permanent)
- Oh So FoFo: A girly and very flirty medium-toned pink with a white metallic base, filtered with subtle golden highlight (Limited Edition)
- King’s Crown: Vibrant true gold with yellow chromatic base (Limited Edition)
- Stonework: Medium-toned plum-gray with subtle sheen (Limited Edition)
FaceFront’s Pressed Eyeshadows come in standard plastic containers with twist-off lids. The lids are clear so that you can see the color inside.
Printed is a matte, intense black. Oh So FoFo is a medium bubblegum pink with silver shimmers. King’s Crown is a slightly mustard-toned gold with a shimmery finish. It doesn’t have the distinct shimmers of Oh So FoFo. Stonework is a medium bruise-purple with a hint of grey and very subtle shimmers.
Printed is almost opaque and easily builds to an opaque finish with layering. Oh So FoFo and King’s Crown both have good color-payoff and even finishes, though King’s Crown isn’t completely opaque. Stonework also has good color-payoff but applies a little less evenly than the other colors.
These shadows’ formulation is excellent. You can tell when you put the brush to the pan that the shadow is soft and creamy. This helps the colors achieve even finishes and makes them layer effectively.
Overall, all 4 colors have good payoff, vibrant pigmentation, and smooth application.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
The creamy formula makes these shadows apply smoothy, easily, and evenly.
Pressed Eyeshadows cost $11.50 and contain 2.4 grams of product. MAC eyeshadows cost $15.00 and contain 1.5 grams. You are paying 50% less for each gram of shadow with FaceFront’s Pressed Eyeshadows. Given the quality of these shadows, these are a steal.
