It Cosmetics’ Luxe Anti-Aging High Performance Eye Shadow Trio is said to include intensely-pigmented shadows for a naturally pretty look. This review is for the shade combination in Pretty in Plum, which includes the following colors:
- Je Ne Sais Quoi: Shimmery nude pink shade
- Lucky Lavender: Violet pearl shade
- Plum Passion: Rich shimmery purple shade
This trio comes in a plastic compact with a flip-up, see-through lid. The compact also opens up underneath to reveal a mirror and a pair of sponge-tip applicators.
The colors in this trio give off semi-sheer color. You can use the shades wet, which produces a noticeable but not significant increase in the intensity of the colors.
When applied over primer, I didn’t have any problems with creasing for around eight (8) hours of wear. Without primer, there was some fading of the color after two and a half (2.5) hours, but still no real creasing until after about four (4) hours of wear.
Ease of Use: 8.5/10
Each color blends out decently. Though the colors are more intense when applied wet, they don’t blend together very well applied wet. So I’d reserve a wet application for on the lid only, after you’ve already applied the crease color dry.
For $24.00 you get 0.10 ounces of shadow. This is a comparable price and amount of product to brands like Stila and Smashbox.
