This mascara helps create Lancôme’s most flirtatious lash look. A new, unique, cone-shaped brush provides an extremely smooth application, precisely defining even your hard-to-reach corners and lower lashes. This expert formula lifts and thickens every single lash without weighing it down.
Lancome’s Hypnose Doll Lashes mascara is said to give you a flirty-lashes look by imparting lift and thickness. The mascara comes in three (3) shades with the shade Black depicted in this post. Keep reading for my thoughts on the formula and pictures of the mascara in action.
This mascara comes in a black, cylindrical tube with a flower design encircling it. The brush is cone-shaped, tapering to a narrow point.
The Hypnose Doll Lashes mascara has a medium-thin consistency that isn’t gloopy or watery. The formula stays pretty soft throughout the time you wear it, unlike some mascaras, which become crisp.
This mascara brings some lift to my lashes, lengthening them and given them slight definition. I don’t get any volume or thickness from the formula. You can easily apply three (3) coats without running into any noticeable clumping issues. I like that the brush becomes narrow at the end to allow you to reach those tricky-to-get lashes near the inner corners of your eyes.
I do see a few specks of fall-out from the mascara after around five (5) hours of wear and some barely noticeable smudging around the outer lower lashes.
Overall, this is a more-than-decent mascara for giving your lashes natural definition and some lift. But the results don’t live up to Lancome’s claims of thicker lashes and you (thankfully) won’t get the lashes you see in Lancome’s scary ads for this mascara. You know, the ones with the mannequin-looking, over-Photoshopped models?
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
The brush is comfortable to use. The synthetic bristles are numerous and relatively soft. The brush does a good job of not making your lashes clump together and the formula isn’t overly thin.
For $26.00 you get 0.22 ounces of mascara. Most of Lancome’s mascaras are $26.00 and contain the same amount of product. Lancome’s mascaras tend to contain less product and cost slightly more than its brand counter-parts.
