Not quite a gloss, but not a lipstick, this innovative Air Whipped Lip Wear defies categorization! Glides on creamy with a velvety, suede finish and decadent flavor. This creamy mousse gloss instantly releases a burst of pure color pigments upon application. Lips are left softer, smoother and appear fuller even after the color fades. It’s the ultimate experience in single coat lip wear.
Laura Geller’s Air Whipped Lip Wear is said to be neither a lipstick nor lip gloss and is offered in 4 shades. The shade Sweet Candy Mousse is a medium pink with tons of gold shimmers and is reviewed, below.
This Air Whipped Lip Wear comes in a clear, plastic tube and has a doe-foot applicator.
Sweet Candy is a very pretty color. It has good pigmentation and can be worn with a single coat or layered for a slightly more intense effect.
The golden shimmers are numerous and small, so the sparkly finish you get is refined. You can feel a little bit of grittiness from the shimmers, but I didn’t find it bothersome the way I would if the shimmers were larger or more sparse.
This lip product has a formula I’ve never encountered before. It feels dry (but isn’t drying)–like a mousse. Yet it gives a decent amount of moisture to the lips. It isn’t sticky, and because of the dry formula, it stays on the lips longer than a gloss would (a solid 3+ hours).
The product has a strong creme brulee scent that actually didn’t bother me (this is coming from someone who doesn’t really like food scents).
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
The doe foot applicator aids in precise application. The product glides on smoothly and gives good color payoff. You can also layer the color for a deeper color.
For $17.00 you get 7.5 ml (0.25 fl oz) of product. MAC Cremesheen Glasses cost $19.50 and contain 2.7 ml of product.
