A velvety powder blush that sweeps sheer color for a naturally blushed look. Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour is a light-as-air, velvety powder blush that sweeps on sheer color easily and evenly. With skin-silkening natural botanicals, your complexion looks naturally blushed and lit from within. Light-diffusing qualities allow a mistake-proof, flawless application that lasts all day.
Laura Mercier’s Second Skin Cheek Colours are said to impart sheer color for a natural look. This blush comes in ten (10) shades. This review is for Violet Orchid–a shimmering light violet with mauve.
This blush comes in a square, plastic compact that flips open and contains a full-sized mirror inside.
This blush has good pigmentation, though the finish is sheer, as the company claims. Violet Orchid is a great pink shade with a hint of violet. It leaves a silky finish that isn’t shimmery but is also not matte.
The formula for this powder is actually on the dry side, but the blush still applies well and with good color. The blush also wears for a very long time, I’m guessing in part due to the drier formula adhering more strongly to the skin.
This blush definitely has a very natural finish and looks “second skin”-like.
Ease of Use: 9/10
The drier formula doesn’t apply quite as smoothly as a softer formula, but it otherwise is very easy to use.
For $24.00 you get 0.13 ounces (3.6 grams) of product. This is a typical amount of product and price for a brand like Laura Mercier.
