Company’s Description
Pro Longwear’s long-lasting eye liner delivers creamy, dense colour that glides on smoothly. 12-hour waterproof formula stays put and smudge-free.
This review is for the five (5) limited-edition Pro Longwear Eye Liners releasing with MAC’s Apres Chic Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Black Ice: Rich black
- Rich Experience: True brown
- Mountain Air: Vibrant teal
- Night Trail: Deep navy blue
- Snow Shadow: Purple violet
Packaging: 9/10
These liners come in classic pencil form, so you’ll need to sharpen them as you use the product.
Quality: 9.25/10
Black Ice is a nearly opaque, matte black.
Rich Experience is a nearly opaque, matte, coffee bean brown.
Mountain Air is a vibrant, nearly opaque teal.
Night Trail is an opaque, deep purple with very subtle purple shimmer.
Snow Shadow is a light purple shade. The pigmentation is the weakest of the five (5) liners, resulting in a translucent layer of color.
These pencils aren’t completely water-proof, but they are very smudge- and fade-resistant. I have no problems with the colors transferring through the day or becoming dull.
The only disappointing shade is Snow Shadow, which applies weakly.
Ease of Use: 9.25/10
The formula has some softness, but could be creamier. Luckily, you don’t need to apply too much pressure to get the colors to apply to the skin.
Price: 9.25/10
For $19.50 you get 0.17 ounces (5 grams) of product. MAC’s Powerpoint Eye Pencils cost $15.00 and contain 0.04 ounces (1.2 grams) of product. MAC’s normal Eye Pencils cost $15.00 and contain 0.05 ounces (1.45 grams). You get much more product for the price with MAC’s Pro Longwear Eye Pencils.
How do these feel compared to Pearlglides?
Did you mean that Snow Shadow was the disappointing one? It says Night Trail above, but the swatch lovely to me. I think for once MAC’s description is right–on my screen, it looks more like deep navy blue with blue shimmer rather than purple.
Yes, I did! Thanks for catching that.
