Company’s Description
Ultra-smooth, Fluidline’s gel formula provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish. Goes on foolproof with a brush in an easy dip-and-stroke action. Long-wearing. Smudge-proof. Lines up in a rich array of colours and finishes. Brush sold separately.
This review is for the three (3) new Fluidline shades releasing with MAC’s Holiday Glamour Daze Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Catch My Eye: Cool taupe grey with dazzle pearl
- Little Black Bow: Charcoal with dazzle pearl
- Feminine Edge: Pink mauve with dazzle pearl
Packaging: 9/10
These Fluidlines come in glass jars with plastic, twist-off lids. The packaging is standard, except that the MAC logo is in white instead of the traditional black font.
Quality: 7.5/10
Catch My Eye is a metallic, steel silver shade. Little Black Bow is a darker, charcoal grey with silver shimmers. Feminine Edge is a medium pink with a silver sheen.
All three (3) of these shades are on the chunky side. The glitter particles are quite large and make the liner grainy. The worse offender is definitely Feminine Edge, which I honestly cannot see being used as a liner. It consists more of silver and pink glitter particles instead of an underlining gel.
These are all probably better suited for use as bases instead of eye liners. That said, the formula is fairly long-wearing. But the formula does flake a little after about four (4) hours of wear because of the glitter particles.
Ease of Use: 8.75/10
These don’t apply as smoothly as other Fluidlines that don’t have such chunky glitter. The gel also doesn’t pick up as easily onto a brush, for the same reason.
Price: 8.25/10
These are $1.50 more than regular Fluidlines but contain the same amount of product.
That pink one looks GORGEOUS! I bet it’d look amazing ontop of say… Blacktrack? As a over coat for a “dazzle” haha =)
That pink one looks way too glittery and gritty, not really my thing.
