Review & Swatches: MAC Lips & Tips Lipglasses (Part 2)

MAC Lips & Tips Lipglasses

Availability: MAC Stores & Online
Price: $14.50

Company’s Description

A unique lip gloss available in a wide variety of colours that can create a high gloss, glass-like finish or a subtle sheen. Designed to be worn on its own, over Lip Pencil or Lipstick, Tinted Lipglass is the perfect product for creating shine that lasts. It’s pigmented, very shiny and can impart subtle or dramatic colour. It contains Jojoba Oil to help soften and condition the lips. Tinted Lipglass is packaged in a convenient bottle with a sponge tip applicator that provides a quick, smooth, even application.

This review is for 5 of the 16 Lipglasses releasing with MAC’s upcoming Lips & Tips Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:

  • Please Me: Mid-tone warm pink
  • Pink Nouveau: Mid-tone cool pink
  • Ravishing: Mid-tone neutral peach
  • Peachstock: Light peachy nude
  • Impassioned: Bright warm pink

Russian Red is included in this collection, but is a permanent color.

You can also read the reviews for Parts 1 and 3, here and here.

Packaging: 9/10

These Lipglasses come in standard MAC packaging with doe-foot applicators. The tubes are made of plastic and can easily be taken on-the-go.

Quality: 8.75/10

Please Me is a light, neutral pink. It settles very slightly into lip lines.

Pink Nouveau is a more blue-based pink that has the smallest hint of fuchsia. It doesn’t really settle into lip lines.

Ravishing is a soft peach with silver, micro-glitters. Like Razzledazzler, this is quite a wearable peach color. It’s a brighter peach than Razzledazzler.

Peachstock is a mid-toned, milky nude that settles into lip lines slightly. It’s not as yellow-toned as Myth, which makes it more wearable.

Impassioned is a bright, hibiscus pink that doesn’t emphasize lip lines.

I get about 2 hours of wear on Lipglasses before they need touching up.

Ravishing is probably the most unique color and is, like Razzledazzler, a wearable peach. Impassioned is also a comparatively unique color.

Ease of Use: 9/10

These are very easy to work with because the doe-foot applicator gives you a precise application and the colors are so sheer that you can apply them quickly without worrying how accurate you’re being.

Price: 9/10

These are the same size (4.8 grams) as regular MAC Tinted Lipglasses and the same price ($14.50).

Great swatches and pictures:) Thx so much for sharing. I ordered Snob and Saint Germain lipglasses this morning:D

  2. Appu says:

Is Impassioned a lot sheerer that the lipstick version of it? It looks beautiful!

    • Allura says:

It is definitely sheerer because the Lipglass formula isn’t opaque like the Lipstick formula. But as far as the vibrancy of the color goes, I think they’re comparable.
