Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street! What made M·A·C famous.
This review is for the 3 new, limited-edition Lipstick colors releasing with MAC’s upcoming Lips & Tips Collection. This post includes photographs and swatches of the following colors:
- Razzledazzler (lustre): Light cream peach
- Spice (satin): Mid-tone neutral nude
- Chestnut (satin): Rich chocolate brown
There are a total of 16 lipsticks promoted in this collection, but the ones not shown in this post are permanent colors.
These lipsticks come in standard MAC packaging. The tubes are made of plastic and can easily be taken on-the-go.
Razzledazzler is a translucent, creamy peach color. The translucent finish allows the color of your lips to show through, making it quite a wearable color. The formula is also moisturizing. I get an average of 2 hours of wear before fading with Lustre formula colors like this one.
Spice is a slightly brick-toned, medium nude color. It is very wearable and suitable for a wide range of skin tones and colors. The finish is opaque and the formula is smooth and fairly moisturizing. I get 2-3 hours of wear for Satin formula colors like this one.
Chestnut is a deep chocolate brown color. The color is almost opaque, but I found that it appears streaky unless you blend and layer the color. It leaves a slight gloss to the lips and is reasonably moisturizing, though not as moisturizing as Razzledazzler and Spice. I get 2-3 hours of wear for Satin formula colors like this one.
These are 3 high-quality lipsticks with great color pay-off.
Ease of Use: 9.25/10
All 3 colors glide on fairly easily, with Razzledazzler being the smoothest and Chestnut being more dry in formula. Consequently, Chestnut pulls just a little bit on application.
These are the same size (3 g) as regular MAC lipsticks and cost $14.50 each.
