Lip colour with large particle pearls reflect and refract light to mimic the brilliance of quartz and opal crystal. Wear alone, or layer over Lipstick or Lipglass for dramatic effect. Vial features a photograph of Marilyn.
This review is for the new Dazzleglass lip gloss color in Little Rock releasing with MAC’s Marilyn Monroe Collection.
- Little Rock: Soft sheer white with pearlized pigments
Phiff! is also re-promoted in this collection. You can see photos of Phiff! here.
This lipgloss comes in the standard MAC gloss tube, but has an image of Marilyn Monroe surrounding the outside. This gloss comes with a brush applicator.
Little Rock is a very sheer white shade packed with variously-sized silver glitter particles. The white tone is so sheer that, for all intents and purposes, it looks clear at its base. Little Rock leaves a very shimmery finish due to the number of shimmer particles in the gloss.
This gloss has the same formula and feel as MAC’s other Dazzleglasses. The consistency is somewhat thick. It’s not “sticky,” but you do notice the product sitting on your lips. It’s best described as having some “tackiness” to it.
Despite the thicker formula, I find that this gloss only really lasts on my lips for about two (2) hours. If I eat or drink, the shimmer particles travel, so I end up with specks of them around my lips.
Ease of Use: 9/10
This shade is pretty easy to use, since it’s clear at its base. I do need to re-insert the brush 2-3 times to get enough product out of the tube because the brush is super small.
This lipgloss costs $21.50 and contains 1.92 ounces (0.06 fl oz). This is $2.00 more than the standard Dazzleglass price. Dazzleglass contain a very, very small amount of product given even the regular price.
