The Sinfully Chic Face Kit comes in a large, mint green, pillow-designed, clutch-type compact. The closure is decorated with a black, plastic bow. The packaging flips open and has a divider inside to create two (2) compartments: one that contains a pouch in which you can keep the brush and one that contains a mirror and the rest of the items in this kit.
This packaging feels too bulky for my taste. Also, the first time I tried flipping over the plastic divider inside this packaging, it broke off.
Pursue Your Passion blush is a bronze color with red undertones and leaves a slightly shimmery finish. It has great pigmentation so that you don’t need to layer it multiple times on the skin.
Out to Please lipstick is a warm-toned nude shade. The formula is soft and glides over the skin. The color is semi-translucent and the lipstick feels emollient.
Be Nice lipglass is a clear gloss with silver and gold shimmer particles. It leaves a very glossy finish. The Lipglass formula has medium thickness without being sticky. This shade isn’t unique, but works as a standard gloss that suits every skin tone and shade.
Graphblack technakohl liner is a standard, matte black shade. The Technakohl formula has some softness and creaminess to it, which helps it apply onto the skin without tugging or skipping. This formula will last all day without fading, but it isn’t sweat/water/smudge/transfer-proof.
The 129SE brush is a domed, pinched powder brush. The bristles are plastic and are not of the same quality as MAC’s standard brushes. The brush is slightly flimsy. This brush will work if you’re traveling or in a pinch, but it’s nothing to rave about.
The stand-out product in this kit is Pursue Your Passion blush. Overall, this kit seems underwhelming. The shades are middle-of-the-road and neutral. This is good, on the one hand, because it makes this kit suitable for a very large population. On the other hand, there isn’t much that excites me about the items offered.
Ease of Use: 9/10
The lipstick glides onto the lips smoothly and easily. The lipglass requires you to dip the doe-foot applicator into the tube two (2) to three (3) times to get enough product onto the lips, but is otherwise easy to apply because of the clear nature of the color. The blush applies fairly smoothly and doesn’t require layering. The eye liner, likewise, applies in a pretty opaque manner and doesn’t tug at the skin.
This kit costs $70.00 and contains full sizes of all the products except for the brush. Buying all of the items separately, not counting the brush or packaging, would total $65.00, so you do save some money by buying these items in this kit. Given the average quality of the brush and the less refined quality of the packaging, though, this doesn’t seem to save you as much money as it should.
