This best-selling eyeliner has become a favorite among all women who fear the dreaded raccoon eyes. Formulated to glide on effortlessly and withstand the most extreme conditions, it stays put on eyelids without melting for precise application and intense color throughout the day.
Make Up For Ever offers a full 25 shades of its Aqua Eyes liners. This review is for the shade 0L Mat Black.
Aqua Eyes liners come in standard pencil form. You will need to sharpen the pencil as you use up the product.
This is my go-to pencil liner when I want something long-wearing or for the waterline. The color is a straight-forward black that isn’t completely opaque, but has strong pigmentation.
The formula glides onto the skin without tugging or skipping. It’s not as creamy as Stila’s Kajal Eye Liners, but for practical purposes, it’s soft and pleasant to apply.
This pencil works well on the lash-line as well as the waterline. If I want a black in my waterline (which I don’t do often), I can trust this liner to withstand that kind of wear without melting or breaking down. It won’t stay on the waterline completely (watery eyes and just regular wear over time will make it fade somewhat), but it performs very well. On the lash line, you can expect the color to stay put all day and resist smudging or fading.
Ease of Use: 10/10
This color glides onto the skin smoothly and transfers well onto the waterline. You don’t need to set it with powder to make it stay put.
For $18.00 you get 0.04 ounces. This is the same amount of product offered by comparable brands like NARS, Urban Decay, and Stila. But $18.00 is actually on the lower end of the price spectrum in comparison to those brands.
