Make Up For Ever has just released 12 shades of its new product: Aqua Shadows. These are pencil-form,cream shadows that MUFE claims are smudge- and crease-proof as well as waterproof.
The shades, reviewed below, are as follows:
- 0E: matte black
- 2E: matte brown
- 4E: matte taupe grey
- 6E: matte navy blue
- 8E:matte green
- 20E: pearly taupe
- 22E: pearly copper
- 24E: pearly pink
- 26E: pearly peach

Aqua Shadows come in plastic pencil form. The bases do not twist up, so you will actually need to sharpen the plastic (which MUFE says you can).
Quality: 10/10
Colors 0E-8E are all matte while colors 20E-32E are pearls. MUFE’s color descriptions for all of the colors are very accurate.
All of the colors give fantastic pigmentation and apply opaquely. The pearl colors don’t have distinct glitters and instead leave a very refined shimmer.
The formula is creamy, smooth, and has medium softness. All of the colors glide on evenly without having to tug at the skin or apply a lot of pressure.
Several seconds after application, the shadow dries and becomes extremely smudge- and fade-proof. The pearl colors will smudge a little more than the mattes, but the shimmer is what moves most, as opposed to the underlying color. All the colors live up to MUFE’s waterproof claims extremely well.
Because of the way the formula dries, these shadows are also extremely crease-resistant. Even without primer, you will find that these resist creasing all day. The color will also not fade.
Ease of Use: 9.75/10
These are extremely simple to use. The formula glides on smoothly and the pencil form allows you to easily create a shape around the eye. The only downside is that if you want to blend these with a brush, you need to work quickly before the product dries and becomes budge-proof.
