Enriched with nourishing properties, Rouge Artist Natural keeps lips hydrated for eight hours after application. Its incredibly smooth texture glides on effortlessly for ultimate comfort while also leaving the lips supple and moisturized. Formulated with mother-of-pearl and colorful pigments, Rouge Artist Natural’s translucent shine adds a natural sheen to the lips.
Make Up For Ever has created a more natural version of their Rouge Artist Intense lipstick–Rouge Artist Natural. The Rogue Artist Natural lipsticks are available in 50 colors, some of which are sold at Sephora. This review is for N48 Griotte Red–a semi-sheer, blue-base, blood red.
This lipstick comes in a square, plastic tube with a twist-up base.
This color’s formula is smooth and fairly emollient. It leaves a slightly glossy finish to the lips.
You can wear this color sheer or layer the lipstick for a stronger red finish. But even with layering, you get a semi-sheer finish.
Griotte Red is a great, wearable red color. It doesn’t settle into lip lines either.
The lipstick has average wear time: 2-3 hours before needing touch-up application.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
Because of the semi-sheer finish, this lipstick needs less slow application than a bold, opaque red would. The smooth formula also glides onto the skin without tugging.
For $19.00 you get 0.13 ounces (3.5 grams). MAC’s lipsticks are $14.50 and contain 0.1 ounces (3 grams). You get almost the same amount for the price with both brands.
