Company’s Description
New soft and brilliant Glitzy formula filled with super shiny polymers and the next generation of pearls to create the illusion of 3D depth for fuller, sexier, looking lips.
Milani offers 7 shades of its 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss, which some have compared to MAC’s Dazzleglasses. This review is for the shade Starshine–a medium, cool-toned pink with pink and silver shimmer.
Packaging: 9/10
This lipgloss comes in a clear plastic tube with a gold handle. It has a short, synthetic, brush applicator.
Quality: 8.5/10
Starshine gives a slight pink tint to the lips along with plenty of silver and pink shimmer.
The glitters are pretty finely-milled and I don’t feel any grittiness from the formula. The gloss is not sticky and the formula is thin.
I get average wear-time out of the 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss line, which means they last around 2 hours before fading.
Overall, I think this is a good lipgloss, but, like with Designer Label, there’s nothing super special about the color.
Ease of Use: 9.5/10
These are very simple to use. They glide on easily and because the color is sheer, you don’t have to worry about precise application. The brushes are also smooth, which makes application pleasant.
The glitter does take a little bit of time to remove from the skin. But it’s nothing close to some of MAC’s lip glosses, which have glitter that doesn’t seem to want to come off, even with a makeup wipe.
Price: 9/10
For $7.49 you get 3.48 grams (0.12 ounces) of gloss. This is a competitive price-point for the amount of drugstore lipgloss you’re getting.
