Captivating eyeshadow powder that features multiple infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Complimentary shades swirled together to create one unique color dimension. All of these gorgeous combinations are designed to be used Wet or Dry.
Milani offers 7 different colors in its Marbleized Baked Eyeshadow line. This review is for the color Green Fortune–a mix of green tones, copper, and pink.
Milani’s single baked shadows come in a round compact with a flip-up lid. The packaging is bigger than it needs to be to house the shadow and includes a low-quality brush.
Used dry, Green Fortune is a very poorly-pigmented color and doesn’t apply anywhere near opaquely. The pigmentation improves when the shadow is used wet, but not enough to capture the vibrancy in the pan or to be opaque. I also find this color unflattering once the shades in the pan are mixed together (and you can’t realistically use them individually). It produces a pea soup-type of green color with green and silver flecks that don’t become one with the base shadow unless you press the powder into the skin.
The powder’s formula is that of a typical baked product. It’s not soft, but not too dry either. This color tends to crumble a little under the brush’s pressure, so don’t be surprised if you get some fall-out.
Ease of Use: 8.5/10
You definitely need to apply this shadow over a primer, otherwise creasing begins within the first hour after application. You should also expect to apply multiple layers or use the product wet.
For $6.99 you get 0.05 ounces (1.5 grams) of product. This is an average price-point for drugstore single baked shadows.
